Check the wall before you chase the feed

Growing the encoder boss wall from 2.4mm to 3.2mm. Porosity cleared completely on the next trial.

Adding a second riser and raising pour temp 20C. It downgraded the porosity from severe to minor and stopped there.

Two trials and about five thousand dollars went into feeding a section that was starved by geometry. The first x-ray already showed the porosity centred in the thinnest part of the boss. Look at where the porosity sits before deciding what it is.
